Well for the second event running we dodged the bad weather, only getting a sprinkling of rain and a few gusts of wind. The course was in good shape and the greens surprising really quick and true despite them being sanded in the last week. It was a day of nearly rounds with many golfers discussing the odd shot that got away. Half the field scored in the thirties, with nine scoring in their buffer zone. But only one person could crack par and that was Howard Forrester. He had a solid round or 38 (2 under par) and like many on the day capitalized on the easily reachable par5's to score some healthy points. 21 points at the turn was expecting a 40 plus round, but again like many others commented the back nine proved more challenging than the front. He also took a share of the Captains Combo for a good day at the office (as they say). Solid rounds for Craig, and the fast improving Martin F (since his retirement), and a well overdue return to form for Bez, just at the right time for the tour and the Blues.
