After what has been one of the wettest June's on record we escaped rather well with just a few showers. Light rain half way through, with the last three 4 balls getting a short burst of heavy rain for the last 3 holes. The course was in excellent condition, greens quick and smooth (mainly due to the county championship taking place either side of us). Gez made the most of all of this, carding a 5 under par round finishing one shot clear of the field. His approach shots set him up well for the red hot putter to compete the job. Second place went Graham who had a welcome return to form, with the heavy down pour catching him out on the last two holes which made all the difference. Also on 40 points and 3rd place was Martin F who must be kicking himself. A blistering start seen him notch up 22 points after 8 then 40 points after 17. Only to blob the last
