An excellent day for golf saw a sprinkling of good scores, with only 3 golfers breaking par. The course was tight with a lot a mature trees protecting the up and down course format. Greens were true and quick but had quite a few bear patches, which to be fair caused no issues for anyone. Second event with our new WHS handicaps did not see anything out the ordinary. Only 3 golfers brokee par out of 31 with John T taking 3rd spot with a solid round of 2 under par. (Good return with his handicap finding looking some find some stability with the new system) Second place went too Chris Shaw who has been close to notching a decent score for some rounds. New golf club and golf clubs is proving a solid base, and expect to see some further podium places after his 4 under par today. But the winner by one and a 5 under par round of 41 was Jack Davies, who takes his first society match day victory. Again a young lad, hits it along way so expect to see more of him on future leader boards. Many other very good performances that were only a odd shot away form breaking par.
