Our opening event of the season saw blistering conditions of around 20 degrees in early April. A little nippy in the shade. The golf only saw one player break par out of our biggest field to date with 36 golfers. Antony Wale took top spot by 5 clear shots from a clutch of 4 golfers at 1 over par. Antony's round contained no blobs and only one par, but 9 three point scores for playing bogey golf gave him the edge on a day where the greens played very well considering just coming out the back of winter. Blue team captain Chris Shaw won the battle of the 35's with a back nine of 17, which could have been better if not for the blob on the 10th hole. Pete Randle continues his excellent progress claiming 3rd spot. Great start by driving the short par 4 off the tee for an opening birdie. But 3 blobs in the last seven holes probably cost him his second win.

Back in 4th place was the captain who stated off like a train with 5 pars and a birdie on the front nine, but struggled on the back 9 and just scrambled double figures. Back in 5th and the other golfer to finish on 35 was Nico, who continues his excellent start to the season with this 35 to back up his opening 37 and 39 at the two warm-up events.
