Report

Well what can you say, a tremendous downpour on the way to the event, like you have never seen, deposited a ridiculous amount of water in a short space of time that golf courses just cant handle. After arriving at the course and some gentle persuasion we managed to play the front 9 twice. After a bit of changing around of the cards and juggling with the competition holes we where ready to go. The weather the rest of the day was very muggy, but breezy although we struggled to feel much of it in the tall tree lined fairways. This picturesque course was very tight which contributed to the lowest scoring event in WGGC history. The winner Krys Jilks came in 2 over par and shrugged off Andy Whitt to take the day on Countback. 3 shots back in 3rd place was our lowest ever 3rd spot finish, Ricky B whose 31 just nudged out on Countback the societies lowest handicapper Paul N.
