Report: Our second attempt at this venue proved to be a great success. The weather was very good for late October. Calm and cool with the odd break of sunshine. Pete Randle handled the conditions best with a 3 under par score of 39. The only two other golfers to break par were Paul Newsome and Sean Anderson. The conditions underfoot were loose as shown from the size of the Divot left by Bez on one of the par 3's. On a generally low scoring day only another 5 golfers played within their buffer zone. Pete made a hat trick of wins on the day by taking the Captains Combo by a clear point and securing nearest the pin in two on the short 11th hole. The greens had been spikes, rolled and fed so did not play very true which may have coast a few golfers a few shots, but no more than you would expect in October. Craig had a day to forget loosing two finals and missing out on getting to the pairs final. The opposite can be said for Whitt who not only won the prestigious Committee Shield match play by 2&1 but also made his way into the pairs final and got a one shot increase to 25 for his troubles.
