We dropped lucky with the weather with a relatively fine day with and a well prepared course for November. Winning score of the day went to associate member Rick B (pictured left getting some advise from Cam) who notched an impressive 44 points made up from 5 pars and no blobs. Stableford winner on the day went to Jim C who after missing the last two events was all refreshed and turned in an impressive 42 points made up of 5 pars a birdie and only one blob. His solid round of 21 points on both half's has moved him up the order in the eagle league. Second place went to Chris Shaw who weighed in with 41 points, which at the turn was looking even healthier. 24 points at nine, nearest the pin and some consistent iron play was heading for that really big score that has been on the card for quite a while now. But some bad putting on the back nine kept his score down. A good round of 38 from John H which saw no blobs and an impressive birdie on the stroke index one 14th for a big 5 points helped his good score. Paul N also had a good round and notched 38 points made up of the most individual pars of the day with nine. The other golfer to play better than his par was Craig who has now put himself in with a chance of the albatross OOM after his round of 37 points. A blob and three ones on the back nine stopped it from being another winning score. The new mister consistent Dale G weighed in with his fifth round of 36 points and has give himself an outside chance of the Eagle OOM and maintains top spot in the "Par 3 Championship" and "Index High" competitions. On the the competitions where Steve W took the prestigious "Committee Shield" trophy beating Mark P on count back after they both finished with 33 points. mark must be kicking himself after being 8 points up at the turn and 3 points up going down the 16th. But with Steve getting a birdie on the 16th and Mark blobbing the 17th it went to the 18th, Both had a good hole with pars but it was Steve's 21 points on the back nine that brought him home. In the same four ball Steve was up against Woody for the Eagle League "Winter Knockout". This final was to be decided on match play format which was not good for Woody as he lost it on the last hole even though he ended up with 2 more Stableford points that Steve. Just proves how one hole can make all the difference. The Albatross League "Winter Knockout" saw captain Pete take on Greg W. This one went to the 17th where a blob from Pete saw Gregg take the honors. A well deserved win for Gregg after he lead all the way from the first. Both of them  did not have rounds to remember with both guys leaving there putters at home. Gregg's consistent approach shots and good irons around the green game him the victory that never really looked in doubt at the turn. Checkout the picture gallery below.
