The Eagle Has Landed

Dave Thompson showing off after his eagle 2 at the par 4 6th, chipping in from 140 yards. Another member Willow Whitt also holed one from 150 yards, unfortunately it was is 8th shot.

Steve (Left) showing the cold and frustration after having one of his best rounds cut short by the weather. Steve posted 19 stableford points at the turn and was on 29 with 5 to play when in all came to a halt.

Darren Gough (Below) eying up his approach at the ninth. What you unfortunately don't see his he has just taken a drop from the water, but still ends up grabbing a point.

  • A couple of days of typical English weather along with a very good evening meal, full English breakfast washed down with plenty of Ale, made the start to the 2006 season most enjoyable.

  • Another new member Sean Anderson (Left) looking pleased with himself and so he should. After a couple of solid rounds he is the early leader of division 3.

  • Another solid performance from another new member Paul Heathcote was pleasing to see, but there where a few lack luster performances from many original members who where to busy blaming the weather instead of their golf.

  • Division one player Nicko (Right) had a personal nightmare going in and out in 55 for a 110 (18 stableford points) posting 9 scores of 7 with one 8 plus a 9.

Nearest the pin winner Allan Harvey in Action.
