On a day where we got the best you could expect of the weather, it was Anthony Harding that had the round of the day. His gross 80 for 42 points cleared the field by three shots. No blobs two 4 points scores made up from 6 pars and two birdies all gave him the reward of a two shot cut in his handicap from 14 down to 12 (12.2 exact)  Back in 2nd place with 39 Stableford points was Cam. Only his second time out this year makes it even more of a good round. Only one blob on the 10th was evened out on the previous hole with a 4 point hall, which all led to 20 on the way out and 19 on the way back. No prizes for guessing who was third, the red hot James Heathcote. Turning 18 years old this week (Happy Birthday from all at WGGC) he is certainly on track for a Division one spot next year. holding a tidy lead in Division Two and 17 points clear in the Grand Prix.  His 4th consecutive round under par has seen his handicap dive from 17 down to an impressive 14 (He is making life easy for the Handicap committee) In joint third with James was John H, Who's 3 birdies (Highest on a golf day for some 5 years) was a major contribution to his score. Only one blob on the stroke index one 14th messed up a card with 3 four point scores. The only other golfer to break par was Krys J who has consolidated his position at the top of division three with a solid 37 points. A few golfers found the changing conditions a bit tough, heavy rain for about 4/5 holes made driving, chipping and putting very challenging indeed. This coupled with very muggy temperatures made for a very challenging and enjoyable golf day. After 3 consecutive years here its time to give it a break and save some valuable fuel.
