 Its
been threatening for a few golf days and finally Graham delivered.
Having made good starts and been in the 20's at the turn on a few
events this year, he maintained the pace increasing his front 9 of
22 points by 2, for a back nine of 24 and a total of 46, finishing 5
clear of Paul Newsome
who's 41 points made him our first single figure golfer on 9 (9.4
exact) Equaling Paul was Division 3 golfer Lee Underhill. With
Graham and Lee playing in the same four ball, it must have been nip
and tuck and Lee's 41 could have been much better without the two
blobs on the 13th and 14th. Another 6 golfers also broke par (on
another day, with us making the SSS 68 instead of 70) Wiggy, Dale &
Gez notched 38 points, with James H, Sean A and Anthony one shot
further back. Moving the SSS by 2 shots (making Par 38) certainly
helped a few with the tour just around the corner stopping Gez &
Dale from the Red team and Sean A from the Blues getting a one shot
cut in their handicaps. It was generally a feel good factor day with 21 of the
golfers in the field playing within their buffer zone (without SSS
change) Only a handful of golfers had a day to forget on this "Feel
good factor Day"
