Handicap Changes after today: Here

On a blustery day almost 10 years since we last played, seen a day of decent scores but only 3 golfers breaking par. Although the fairways were scorched with all the sun we have had the greens were in excellent condition. The rock hard surface and strong gusts of wind massively helped some holes with a record number of single 5 point scores being posted. (5 in total) matched by 10 golfers grabbing 4 point scores on the unique par 6. Third place went to a very consistent Antony W whose one under par 37 could have been so much better with 2 blobs in the last 3 holes. Second spot went to big hitting Nico who was one of the few who birdied the Par 6 for one of those 5 point scores. His round also consisted of 2 blobs which kept him off the winning spot. But it was Sean that took the days honours with a 4 under par round. His first match-day victory since September 2022. His round also consisted of 2 blobs but was balanced nicely with 7 pars which notched him 21 points. His reward was not only the prizes but his lowest ever handicap with a cut of 2.3 to under the magic 18 (17.6) A couple of other notable scores was Martin Shaw's first eagle with a chip in from the bunker on 17 and Kevin Ferry grabbing a hole in one on the iconic 18th but unfortunately it was 3 off the tee. (But still a great achievement)
