Handicap Changes after today: Here

The course was in excellent condition to complement the stunning surroundings, with the weather playing its part with a couple of heavy showers. The long walk and hilly back nine certainly played its part in the result, with our senior member John H (78) not being able to complete his round having to walk off after 14 holes. But not before securing the nearest the pin on 2nd hole, notching 30 points, finishing him in 10th place, and scoring our second ever 6-point score, (James Little holding the other one) with a birdie 3 on the par 4 seventh for no shots. The course was challenging for most, but two golfers did manage to break par. In form Howard F secured second place with 39 points for his 3rd below par round of the season. 23 points on the front nine was a great base but 2 blobs and 2 single point scores on the back nine cost him the days honours. The winner was Jack who carded a five under par 41.

It could have been ridiculously lower as he only scored 5 points on the last four holes, and missed a few relatively easy putts. This was his second below par round of the season which has now made him the societies lowest playing handicapper down to 12.3, and this from Division two.
