Handicap Changes after today here

Well after some unsettled weather in the previous few days we managed to get a lovely November day, no wind (or sun) and barley short sleeve golf. Excellent turn out with 32 golfers battling to take the end of season honors. Over half the field finishing in the thirties, so that bad drive, fluffed, chip and three putt made all the difference. Jim hit some good form to finish in forth spot with a decent 34 points made up of 6 pars and only two blobs. One place above in third place was Jeff his highest finish to date, with only two blobs on the card for his thirty four points. Second place (after taking out the guests) went to the Captain who had an untidy front nine but made some serious points on the back for his 35 points. But the winner some three shots clear was Ian who only notched two blobs in his round with the win made possible with back to back big scores. A four pointer on the 11th hole followed by a five pointer on the 12th. Special mention goes to our three guests who all finished on even par 36. Joe continues to improve and notched another solid round with four pars along the way. Robs local knowledge paid off with a solid 36 consisting of only one blob and an impressive 22 points on the back nine. Society and course debutant (and another Shaw) Martin had an excellent round. Seven pars made a great foundation only spoilt from being and under par round with three blobs. A light hearted end to the season saw Jeff take his £13 sports direct chipper (meant for use around the green) from 100 yards only for it to snap in half and the head go further than the ball. Something the last group found hilarious. I suppose you had to be there to get the full value, but that's Jeff for you. Hope you all have a great winter break and come back refreshed next March.
