Our highest member turn out (everyone but one golfer) timed itself with a red hot muggy day in the middle of a drought, which unfortunately gave us some of the worst greens we have seen in our society journey. The rock hard brown grassless fairways gave you plenty to think about. Having to take one or two clubs less and many putting from well off the green. Overall lots of good scores with last place of 30 notching 28.

10 golfers broke par with the next 8 only separated by 4 shots. third place went to Ian with a 4 under par score of 40. One shot better was Craig who carded a 41 and a welcome return some of the form we know he is capable of. His round was made up of 6 pars and 2 birdies and only one blob.

But 2 shots clear and 7 number par was James Little who takes his first Match day victory since August 2017. His round had 3 pars and only one blob playing off 29 was certainly a very good score (helped by playing the course the previous day of course :-)

Today saw the round of 16 of the Committee shield Matchplay contested. 3 matches went to the last hole, but had to mention that Rob was 5 up with 5 to play and managed to lose (On count back) even with having 2 shots of four of the last 5 holes. Tommo just kept the ball down the middle, which kept Rob under pressure.
