Our 2019 AGM took place Saturday January 4th 2019 at Red Lion Public House.

       The Committee reviewed all the handicaps in detail and made the following adjustments.

  • Mark Beswick: increase to 15.5 (16)

  • Alan Thompson: increase to 21.0 (21)

  • Andy Gordon: increase to 28.5 (29)

  • Peter Shaw: increase to 18.5 (19)

  • Peter Randle: increase to 28.0 (28)

  • James Heathcote: increase to 9.5 (10)

  • Steve Whiston: increase to 15.5 (16)

  • Jack Davies: increase to 16.5 (17)

  • Howard Forrester: decrease to 19.5 (20)

  • Gez Newsome: decrease to 12.0 (12)

  • Anthony Harding: decrease to 11.0 (11)

  • Paul Newsome: decrease to 9.0 (9)

  • Rob Ward: decrease to 25.0 (25)

  • Krys Jilks: increase to 24.0 (24)

  • Mark Nicholson: decrease to 17.0 (17) and moves into Division 1

  • Dave Wiggett: increase to 17.5 (18) and moves into Division 2

  • Martin Fooks: decrease to 19.5 (20) and moves into Division 2

  • Graham Aulton: increase to 23.5 (24) and moves into Division 2

  • James Little: moves into Division 2

  • Andy Whittaker: increase to 25.0 (25) and moves into Division 3

  • Sean Anderson: increase to 24.0 (24) and moves into Division 3

  • Daryll Butlin: increase to 25.0 (25) and moves into Division 3

  Competitions

  • Grand Prix: change the points for Nearest the Pin to 10 (Division 1) 20 (Division 2) 30 (Division 3)

  • Leitchy Cup holes to change to 4, 9, 15

  • Mr. Blobby competition to continue, but should be based on 8 events for 2020 onwards

2020 Golf Days

  • 2020 Golf Day venues now confirmed. Click here for details.  Pete to try Kilworth Springs for March event, alternatives are Hatchford Brook, then Marston Lakes.

Society Documents

  • WGGC Committee reserve the right to adjust the league structure on no. of appearances

  • WGGC Committee reserve the right to adjust the handicaps after every event to take into account exceptional scoring (match day exceptional scoring review) (exceptional scores inconsistent with the players handicap that isn't suitably adjusted by the natural handicap changes)
